Best handheld spotlight - 06/08/18 03:00 AM

I must've left my spotlight on the deck after I got off the lake Sunday morning, making it an offering to the FM 515 Gods. It wasn't the brightest light I've had and the battery life was 2 hrs max, so I'm probably switching brands this time around. Any suggestions for a comfortable, extremely bright spotlight with legitimate 5+ hr battery life? I'm also open to going back to a 12v.

Homebuilt seal beam. Light built in hard hat, both hands free, wherever you look you have light.

No clue why they are rarely used outside Louisiana.

I still like the corded Max-Million lights from Brinkman. They seem to be tough, and light. I have the cordless version too, but that battery is heavy trying to hold the light and run down the lake.

I took "extremely bright" and "bright spotlight" and I've got one of a handful of flashlights that will utterly amaze you.

For a narrow spot at long distances my ThruNite TN31 is a great flashlight. On high its only a couple hours but its really so bright that you only need that during special times. It has numerous levels and at a reasonable level it will run 8 hours. On low, which is comparable to something like a keychain light (level 2) it will run for 140 hours. On level 1 it will run for 2000 hours.

They have 3-4 models. I got the one that's about $35. Very pleased. Super bright and charges quickly.

+1 .. I'm with Jaret and Steez on this one..one of my Best Tools on the Boat.

Do have a corded Spotlight, but now use it as a back-up, these Stanley Fat Max's so Bright, Lite, Waterproof, and Float I keep one @ the console while running and one @ the front while trolling spot to spot.. last all night using the two and I have tried many different handhelds these work great..Wal-Mart $35 and better than the more expensine ones IMHO.. just my 2cents

Here's are some recent LAKE FORK Night Time Bass Pics.. hooked

I'll check out the Stanley. I used Q Beam for years but grew increasingly dissatisfied with each new model because although the C.P. was increasing, the focus was decreasing, becoming more flood. The one I lost was a Larson, which I had for 3 yrs. It never did meet my expectations. Thanks for the input, fellas.

This is better than a spotlight, Fenix TK 75 ....https://www.fenix-store.com/fenix-tk75-led-flashlight-2018-edition-5100-lumens/

A bit pricey but very well worth it!!!

Streamlight Waypoint lithium is what I use. Went through cheaper ones due to moisture...this one is solid and battery lasts forever.

I got the 2200 lumen Fatmax. I've used it 2 nights and it far outperformed the $200 + Larson. Much brighter, much longer battery life and cost $50 at Wally's. Thanks again for the suggestions.
