I've got an original Veritas and a 2.0. Never had issues with either. Gonna grab me a couple.

Yeah, I have 3 of them and had to replace 2 at BPS already. Once these break I will be moving on to something else.

I've been using 6 of them for several years and never had an issue and I don't baby them.

IMHO ... these are some the BEST RODS in the $100 price range ..... so 50% off is a good deal.

Bobby are you using any of the 2.0 versions? I've got one of each and just recently got the 2.0. Maybe that's the one these guys are breaking! I use the older version as my primary worm rod and hammer the hook set on em. Never had a problem. The 2.0 is a med heavy for spinner/chatter baits. Haven't hooked a "big" fish on it yet, but it seems good to go for me!

I just looked at the ad. You are right, they aren't the 2.0 version. My mistake.

....the 1.0 & 2.0 are very good rods.....
I also have both & have landed plenty of 7 pound bass on them.
Again, each to own liking but at 49 bucks it a pretty darn good deal.
I don't even need them but ordered 2.

I ordered 2 MH 7'.

I don't see anything online except the 6'6" rods. Where'd you find a 7' to order for $49?

they did have the 7' cause I ordered on yesterday. Could be they sold out.

Academy also has the Simano Casitas on sale for $69.99. Regularly $100.

I could not find 7 foot rods at $49 dollars either .... only 6-6

I looked today and no longer saw the 7'. Must have sold out.

They appear to have sold out of the 7' MH before I placed my order. They actually cancelled my order and sent me a refund.
