Looks 12# easily to me, that's a big fish, thick, solid girth. We'll never know, I'd never take anything away for such a catch, congrats guys well done

Awesome fish! Fun little lake, but man does it ever get a ton of pressure. I fished it Monday morning and by 10am it was a boat/kayak show. Was also super awesome to see a bunch of dirty diapers, broken glass beer bottles, and assorted trash scattered all over the shore around the ramp area. Been a while since I had to step over a dirty diaper to get in my boat.

I don't know how big or long that fish is, all I know is it is a big long fish, congrats to your pop.

Regardless of the weight and length that is an awesome fish and I love seeing photos posted of big fish. Thanks for sharing.

Big heavy fish. I buy 13lbs, but I'm a bit skeptical on the 29". The original picture on that cooler could probably settle the debate. Given the girth she'd almost certainly weigh a lot more than 13 at 29". Regardless, a heck of a fish!

I recant my previous statement. I buy 13lbs+ and 29". Downloaded the original picture and did a quick review. She's legit in my opinion! Man, if that fish carried her girth she'd have been off the charts. Probably tack on 1-2 lbs on her pre-spawn as well!

I would say shes 13 or very close to it.

That is such an awesome fish and if 29+" long, then TPWD estimator puts it at between 15.87 and 17.50#. And its not like it looks skinny by any means.

Here you go guys, calibrated the measurement off the 1" marks on the cooler in Blue Beam and then measured the fish came out to 30". I did this multiple times to get a accurate measurement and every time she came out to 28-30"

Looks like TPWD Operation World Record is working pretty good. That would be cool if TPWD could get DNA samples and let the SAL donor know what their donation has done.

I'm wondering if this was one of the 2006 or 2008 stockings, or is this offspring from that initial stocking. There were 9s and 10s coming out of there in 2013.
