Why am I so happy? Because I had just about sworn off fishing this lake for LMB forever. Kinda made up for all the skunk days....kinda.

Lol, I loathe it too. Then I’ll have someone send me pictures of a 30lb bag they caught there and it makes me hate the lake even more!

I was so happy, I didn’t even weigh it. I wish I could take credit for skilled angling, but the bass just took one of four marabou (white) jigs I had suspended in about 20 ft. around my boat. I was tied up along some bluffs and pitching a 4” heart tail between the rocks and trees. When I heard the drag, I knew I had just snagged a tree like dozens of times before—especially when I saw the medium action rod doubled over. At first I thought it was a big cat....surprise! And of course while I am dealing with the bass, an 8” cat took another of the jigs. Ha!
