Private Lakes and Trophy Bass Haven

Private Lakes and Trophy Bass Haven - 05/03/18 04:26 PM

Hello TFF,

My wife and I had a business trip scheduled in Boston for the last week of May that got canceled. Now I have a whole free week of vacation and my wife is willing to replace it with some fishing.

She likes to fish, but would also prefer not to be 100% committed to strictly fishing for several days.

We have stayed on private ponds before and being able to come and go whenever and relax when she wants without driving across a big lake or taking the boat out of the water makes it much more enjoyable for both of us.

Another idea would be a lake with cabin water access near a larger city where we could do other activities at night (and preferably easy to catch numbers of fish).

I found Trophy Bass Haven in Louisiana which is a good price range for us at $400 for 3 nights, has anyone had any experience with this place?

Has anyone had any good mixed activity or private lake fishing trips with the wife you would recommend?

Thanks,
Wes

Also check out VRBO, there are few places that are big enough that have private ponds. OR you can rent a lake house on lake travis Cedar Creek Lake.

I did check that one out, but the pricing is a bit too high for me, it looks like about $400+ per day from the website.
