Lunch at GRAPEVINE Bass Pro Shops- THIS FRIDAY 5/4 at NOON!!!

I was looking at the calendar for May 4th to have another lunch at Bass Pro Shops. How about a vote to see which location would be more popular? This is a great time to meet people and swap fishing stories!

Well, dagnabbit! Just found out my plans have changed and I won't be making it this time. My son was slated to get the start on Saturday for his baseball team, but coach just now told him that he is being moved up to start on Friday. Looks like we're all headed to God's country early Fri morning now. You guys have a good lunch and I'll miss great company but I'll catch up with you guys on the flipside.

Small turnout. Six of us. I think the weather was a factor.

Got to hear some good "stories" of the big ones that got away and a few that didn't. Blue Nitro came and shared the story of his 14.8 he caught at Vail Lake Cali on a jig a few years back. He has a great pic of it.

Donald Harper brought some of his custom jigs, spinners, scent and bladed jigs to give away. Thanks Mr. Harper! You are very generous.

Red Skeeter showed up and told us about some of the physical challenges he is facing.
Your positive attitude and strength is nothing short of amazing. YOU are an inspiration to me and everyone around you. We will be steadily praying for you brother! You are going to beat this cancer and come out stronger in the end.

It's a battle no doubt, hopefully prayer, my faith, and some serious sience will let me kick the can down the road a bit longer. Thats awesome! I admire you gentleman and ladies who are so deeply rooted in this sport. Its the best thing thats ever happened to me in my life so far I think, besides faith. I just wish I would've started fishing earlier, or do I??

Enjoyed the lunch and listening to RedSkeeter explain to the waitress they had a leak in the ceiling that was running down the front of their big TV. Her response was " oh I know I've already told them". The upstairs area is a perfect place for a group lunch. Thanks Ken & thanks to Donald for the scent & baits.

I wish I could make it sometime. Sounds like fun. Fishing and food.....my two favorite things in life.

It was a small turn out; but some of the best quality time I have ever spent with good friends. Thanks to everyone who came and looking forward to the next one.

I wish you had been there Tommy, you would have really enjoyed it.. I learned one important thing about Don baits, we'll a couple things actually.. They're really very well constructed, they can handle the rigours of a big fish. Plus they catch fish, good looking baits, thank you Don.
Best fish today, was 4 1/2 lbs on a brown spro frog. Truly blessed everytime on a frog fish, love that.
