Going to be some busy ramps, not many left that are public on Ray Hubbard.

Wasn't there some info about construction near the power lines going to the river also?

Yes, I think it started Jan. 1st. Not blocked off but lots of construction equipment.

Launched there on Friday the 9th. Talked to a City of Rockwall police volunteer. I asked if they were going to be issuing tickets since it says the ramp is closed. He called in to dispatch and told me that if any tickets were to be issued it would be from TPWD. We also tried to call the number on the sign, and didn't get any answer. There were about 10 other trucks with trailers at the ramp as well. When we returned all was good, no tickets.

Construction on what, a new and improved boat ramp?

I don't live far from the lake, but looks like I will be going to Lavon more often.

Cedar Creek is only 45 minutes away and Tawakoni is even closer. $20 dollars to launch is highway robbery.

They are fixing the parking lot, ramps and building a sea wall. Supposed to make both ramps usable. Parking lot is supposedly being blocked off today.

It will be nice to have both ramps functional. I say widen it to three. They have the room

I don't think they are going to charge to launch there

They aren't, but while this is closed, your options for a free ramp are pretty limited.
