What a bass bite today...

except I was crappie fishing. Caught these two back to back plus lots of 1 and 2 pounders. Got broke off once and lost another good un that wrapped around a bridge upright. They loved a black/chartreuse 1/8 oz. jig. I did manage a few crappie but had a field day with the bass. The temp on Martin Creek this afternoon was 50 on the cold side and 67 on the warm side. Water is about as clear as I've ever seen it on Martin. Lake is still down a few feet.

That's got to be fun on light tackle!

Definitely Texas strain, with mouths like that. Looks like fun!

Hydrilla has been making a comeback for a year or so. Lilly pads are also coming on.

That fish in the top pic had its mouth torn at some time in the past.
