What is your preferred jerk bait set-up?

I got a old 7’1 Kistler glass Rod with 30LB braid to a 12lb mono leader pair with a 6.4:1 ratio reel. I love this set up.

Falcon Lowrider LFC-4-166 (M) or LFC-5-168 (MH) with 6.4:1 reel with 40#-50# braid and 12#-15# Fluoro leader.

G. Loomis IMX Pro 843C CBR, Shimano Chronarch MGL 151 HG, 10# Sunline FC Sniper fluorocarbon. I love this setup and it blows away anything else I've ever tried.

megabass orochi xx jerkbait special with a shimano aldebaran. also use to to throw weightless finesse worms every once and a while. pretty sweet set up. i also have a lews team magnesium with a 6'6" medium halo, its not too bad either, i like to have two different colors when im throwing jerkbaits

LFC-4-166 medium action rod with 6:3:1 shimano core spooled with 12lb copolymer Super Silver Thread -green line. Sometimes I will use mono but never braid (too easily seen) or floro (cuz it sinks).

Good jerkin'......

Another vote for the Falcon Lowrider LFC-4-166. I pair it with Shimano Chronarch 50e, 6.4:1.

I still use a 6'6" Falcon Original medium action rod with a 5:3:1 Curado. 10 lb copolymer line. The lower gear ratio reel helps me ensure I'm not working it to fast and that I have enough slack in the line to get the maximum action out of each "jerk".

Buda was once known as the "master jerker". Listen to his advice!

Don't bother throwing a jerk bait... fish won't eat them. wink
