Who went to squaw today and how did you do?

roads are getting bad quickly.

I went yesterday because of the forecast. The fog got really bad around 130. 20 fish from 930 till 200.

I did an electronics class yesterday. We had 40-50 fish video game drop shot fishing. Biggest was 4lbs

Sounds like someone had a good learning trip! I need to book one myself one day!

It was stupid easy. I’d see them we would drop down & it was clockwork. It was a fun day no doubt. 7lbs floro & no break offs.

When you're fishing that way, do you even set the hook or just start reeling when you get bit? I break off enough with 20lb floro. Seven pound is crazy scary.......

We’re heading out there next Thursday and Friday, staying the in a hotel coming from Abilene.

Rod up, lock your elbow & reel fast. Back the drag off where it gives a little while reeling. Use a light wire no1 roboworm rebarb drop shot hook.

The fog sucked, took 45 minutes to get from dam to launch.

Guess I need to lay off my hook set some then... bc if I had 7lb line on I’d break off constantly... I use 15lb out there mainly.

Can you fish any day or is it only open on the weekends ?

It's open Thrursday through Monday..make a reservation.

My understanding is that Squaw is no longer open on MONDAYS.

I can confirm above. They told everyone last week that fished that they are going to be closed on Mondays moving forward.

This is what I heard also

I noticed that they hadn’t changed this on their online reservation system (as of last Sunday); but the lady at the gate definitely said “not open Mondays next year” when I was there last Thursday.

They told us last week they were closing on mondays and have a sign on the window when you leave.

7lbs floro special on Squaw today. I did an electronics/Offshore class today. We caught several good ones but this was the best.
