Who will catch the first fish of 2018

Who will catch the first fish of 2018 - 12/20/17 03:29 AM

Let's see who posts the first fish caught in 2018.

Won't be me, not sure when I can get to Rayburn to fish, to much going on.

Surely someone wouldn't skip a new years party and go fishing on a cold winter night.

Who do you think it will be.

What's the prize for catching the last bass of 2017 ? With a little luck same guy could catch the last and first. Won't be me, I'm sleeping in and getting ready to watch Georgia kick Oklahoma's a$$.

You gonna need a witness Fish, skepticism is rampant on public forums. I'd believe you normally but there's a lot on the line here so you probably gonna have to swear on something. Maybe your dogs life or your favorite rod/reel.

Now your talking... pic of scale with fish on it, pic of fish with phone or watch that shows date and time. Heck this time of year on the cold water lakes anything that bites is 5 or better anyway.

Eh....it really wasn't too bad with the right layers on. Rod and reel iced up pretty quick. The steering shaft on the motor got stuck twice from ice build up. <<<<didn't expect that one. The trailer has some nice ice on it too. Positive? The boat powered up the trailer with ease.

Just went to be able to say I went. I guess. Joe Pool. Saw one other boat the whole afternoon. A pontooner.

You win. On my way to the lake I stopped by the Kountry Korner and got some coffee and the last 3 magnum water dogs but on my way to the truck I tripped on a beer bottle and dumped the dogs in the parking lot. Yeah they froze hard to the asphalt and when I tried to pry them loose their skin came off (looked kinda like boiled meat but was a bit under seasoned for my liking). When I got to the truck I realized I had locked the keys inside and I was feeling nauseous so I just called Uber and went home, had some black-eyed peas and took the Christmas tree down.

Thought about heading out around 10 pm to try and catch the last fish of 2017 and first of 2018. It was a little breezy and since no one was there I went back into town and visited Chili's until closing. Went back to ramp and watched a few fireworks that were coming from somewhere across the lake, then watched an airplane flying real low pass over the power plant. It passed on by and I swear that plane had red lights all over it and looked liked Santa's sleigh. I'm not kidding.

You got my vote for first of 2018, especially for being out there in 20 degree temps in a kayak.
Congrats.
