Patterning fish and the spawn at squaw creek... - 12/01/17 02:55 AM
Is there any rhyme or rhythm to what the fish do at squaw creek? Seems like they are doing the same thing every time? Also has anyone figured out when they spawn?

I'm under the assumption that they spawn pretty much all year, and they mostly spawn deeper and out of sight. The warmer water and sunlight has to do with the fish getting real shallow to spawn in normal lakes. Warm water is already there at Squaw...

There is fry all over the lake right now. Any time they shut the down one of the reactors like they have done recently really triggers them.

I've caught fish out of 25-30ft that were spitting eggs out. some of the fish we caught last week were showing signs of rubbing on their bellies.

I ignore the idea of a spawn all together out there.
