My 8 year old has been steadily catching sandbass all summer but she has lacked the patience to stay after the bass. She doesn't whine to go home but sits in the boat and either reads, colors, takes photos of the surroundings or otherwise occupies herself. I've been wanting her to cast, hook and land her own largemouth.
Well today on Squaw Creek things finally worked out for her. I took the boat seat and that was the difference. She stayed after it and even though we only fished till 10:30, she caught five fish. They were eating her wacky worm and she had no trouble landing them.

That's what it is all about X'2. Passing on America's greatest past time, while creating family bonds. This is one of the reasons it is so treasured. You don't need Mastercard... this is priceless.
