Dobyns 704cb or 705cb for topwater? - 11/22/17 04:28 AM
All my other rods are Caras but they don't have a rod I like for topwater. Which of the above would you pick for spooks, sammys, gunfish, dog-x, and other like baits?

I too would go with the 704 for topwater, dobyns soft tip works well with topwater lures

"Walk the dog" spook type baits? 704 or 734 for me. Lighter topwaters like Yellow Magic's...? 703 or 733.

I have each of those but if I were to choose one it would be the DC 763C. I love that rod for throwing whopper ploppers, buzz baits and horny toads. I don't throw walking baits on it really but for prop/paddle baits it's my personal go to rod.

I use 705cb
The 704 was too much of a wet noodle for me.
