Any word about Lake Aquilla?

Nope.

I like it, personally. Havent been many times, but when I have gone it has been pretty good. Not a lot of party traffic, which is great, in my opinion.

Is there any (relatively) clean water to be found there?

Compared to waco or whitney its more stained

I'd say stained, but not a mud-hole. Lots of good timber and rocks/ledges. Some grass if you can find it.
