Beer Mustard - 08/27/17 05:51 PM

Thought I would give this a try
Made 3 separate batches 1 with shiner bock 1 with Sam Adam and 1 with shiner and red pepper flakes you have to let it set in frig for 2 weeks so I will update with results. By the way be ready to give out to family and friends this makes a lot

3/4 cup yellow mustard seeds
1/4 cup brown mustard seed
1 bottle of beer + more for thinning out as blending plus more for the cook
2 cloves garlic diced
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

Put seeds in a bowl with the beer cover and put in frig for 24 hrs
Add more beer if they soak it all up
After 24 hours mix in rest of ingredients
Fill blender about 1/2 full and purée on high you may have to add more beer to thin out
Some batches I leave grainy others I blended smooth
Store in frig for 2 weeks to let flavors marry then get to grilling some brats and enjoy
