Tx Best Pork Lion Rub..... - 07/04/17 05:47 PM

I sure don't know what it is but I am seeking a good rub for this long loin I wanna smoke. So far, I know I wanna wrap it in bacon. You guys help me here. I am tired of looking on line (Google) for a rub. No plans to stuff it either. Academy has a good buy on various wood pellets...(20# bag $10) they say Apple is best for pork.

Bills seasoning. Best ever on pork. Order it on line or call them 325-372-3225 they will mail it to you with an invoice, they are out of SanSaba. I buy it in one gallon bulk containers, they sell in smaller versions.

SuckleBusters Pecan is the best I have found. I cook alot too. https://www.sucklebusters.com/bbq-rubs-seasoning/sweet-texas-pecan/

Is great on chicken too. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/12323370/Cooked_today#Post12323370

I use their Peach sauce also. https://www.sucklebusters.com/bbq-sauces/peach-bbq-sauce-gallon/

Yes we use it on pork chops, you will never eat a grilled pork chop any other way.
On baby back ribs, I smear frenchs mustard all over them, sprinkle bills all over them, wrap in cellophane and marinate them overnight in the fridge, then just cook on the grill, simply amazing.
I use it on burgers, steaks and my briskets

Yes it is his concoction and I've been working on him for some time. He won't give it up. Just get a pound from him and run with it. You're welcome.

No word from him as yet. I'm also trying to contact "Bills" about my order and no replies....does this Company still exist? Getting ready to put my loin on as soon as it reaches room temp. Using my own rub and bacon wrapped.

7/7/17: I made contact with Tman and he'll have another batch made in a couple days. Last night I got a email from Donna Shahan with "Bills Seasoning". They have been out of town due to funerals and she said she would get back with me on my order. No word from them as yet. I get a little leary about possible "fly by night companies".

Got mine today with NO invoice in box!! All order info is emailed to buyer.Bills daughter gave me a little info about the history of the seasoning. Donna told me Bill was a Butcher for 30yrs.He created this blend while working at the meat market and eventually customers began wanting him to season their steaks. It was a word of mouth way of advertising then. Bill died of cancer at the age of 51. He never got to do what he wanted and that was selling his product full time. It's still a Mom and Pop biz so to speak. Both Donna and her mom (79) have full time jobs and from what I gather....he passed on the recipe and they make it. Mom does all the shipping. Donna and her sisters I assume make the seasoning. She did mention that one has to be careful when putting the stuff on chicken. As with other rubs you can marinate meats etc. for hours and hours, but not so with chicken. The meat tends to "break down" when marinated for a LONG periods of time.
Let's help them out......... Spread the word, buy some and try it out.Lets support a Texas Bizz
