Baking Speckled Trout - 06/02/15 03:37 PM

Me and a few buddies caught a bunch of specks down in Port Mansfield last weekend. Anyone have a good Recipe for Baking it?? I plan on frying one bag, and baking the other! Thanks for the help!

the typical baked/broiled with lemon slices, butter and herbs turns out well. also dip fillet in melted butter, then coat with finely chopped pecans and bake, that is real good with a lemon butter sauce. i like blackened trout too served over dirty rice.

port mansfield is a great place. any pics?

try baking it in a salsa mix for a sort of Vera Cruz dish.

Grilled is just ok. To me specks should always be fried.
