Mercury & Ranger 175VS Question

Hi
Where is the Speedo pitot tube is on a Ranger 175VS. I know I can use GPS etc to measure speed but my OCD kicks in as it is not working?

Also just purchased the boat and oil in tank is about 1/2 full. I do not know if it is synthetic or ? - Can I mix synthetic with non-synthetic?

Speed pickup hole is on the front of the lower unit. Do not mix syn with mineral base. Pennzoil Premium Plus is a synthetic blend.
