Perko latches - 05/15/17 11:35 AM

I have an 02 Triton with Perko locking latches. Three have failed in the last two months. Looking on line they are about $35 each but I would not have matching key access.
Can these be repaired or do I need to purchase a whole new set from the factory?

What is your key #? You can order them with your key # & they work. Its what i did a couple years ago.

What part of them failed? If its the locking barrel part its probably a replacement. If its the locking "L" part it can be replaced individually. I just replaced all mine because the plaatic pieces got brittle & broke. They'll only keep an honest man honest & kids in the neighborhood out....If a thief wants in, they'll tear up more than latches to get in. I HATE thieves!!!

It's the barrel. You can put the key in and it just turns without catching.

Spray WD40 in them. Work key back & forth. Let set a day or 2 & repeat. They may start working again. No loss if they dont. I shoot mine with it every month. If
