I have a mercury 225 pro xs that has a cracked rigging tube on both ends(the hose from the transom to the motor all the hoses and wires run through). Just curious if this is that tough of a job and if there is a better option that the original mercury hose that will crack again. Thanks

If you were closer I would say swing over. I will be doing mine one of these weekends. I have the parts and have been waiting for cooler temps. It's pretty easy. Takes maybe an hour to do.

Had the same problem with my Yamaha SHO. Took it to Rockwall Marine ( it ain't as easy as you might think ) and had them fix it. They also had to replace the boot where it connects to the transom. Total cost, parts and labor
$140. Saved me all the stress and headaches. Those guys are good and honest as the day is long.
