2006 mercury opti 225 pro xs

Starts and idles fine, smooth, when I put it in gear, sputters, rough idle, etc, feels like a miss ,as soon as I give it just a touch on the gas, smooths rt up? Runs fine other wise

The throttle position sensor may need adjusted or it could have a coil starting to go away. What rpm`s is it idling?

Below 1k rp. Pretty sure around d 800 or so,haven't paid much attention to it

You need to take it to a shop if you don`t want to give info.

Sorry Mr Purdy, not sure what information u need, it idles around 800 rpm, that is the only question I seen?

Ran it today, it idles at 650 to 700 in gear or out of gear, not much difference, on a cold start today didn't seem to do it much. ..

You can raise it to 750 in gear if that will help.
