need your opinion here.

96 faststrike bogging
finally got to run the boat some, here are the symptoms.

starts and idles fine, will run up with the hotfoot fine in neutral.

let it warm up while I parked the truck and total it idled was about 5 mins. before I took off so the engine was warm.

got on plane fine, ran up to 5800 rpm fine and ran about 3/4 of a mile then the bogging started again, just loses power but does not die if I put it in N then it idles fine again.

let it sit and fished some, about an hr. then tried again, same result.

while idling back to the ramp (hopefully to avoid possible damage) I tried my choke, pushed the key in and the engine promptly died/flooded, started again and let idle a min or so then again pushed the key and it died, this time it took 5-6 attempts to restart but did when the cyls. cleared.

what do y'all think? I am leaning toward a power pack going out (believe the one I put in a little over a yr ago is a cdi unit). voltage shows good and the stator (oem) is pretty new so don't think that is a concern.

really don't want to toss parts at it and will take to a mech if needed but prefer to hear the diagnostic wizards on here. thanks in advance.

Have had a lot of problems Hop with those blankady blank plastic carbs on these motors dripping fuel in the venturi`s. They become warped. Look down the throats while running. Gas it and if bad you will see fuel come out the front of the carb. The other possibles are you are down a cylinder because of a power pack or coil. Check to make sure the timming roller hasn`t backed off of the throttle arm on top. Up here: http://www.boats.net/parts/search/BRP/EVINRUDE/1996/SE150WTPXB/THROTTLE%20LINKAGE/parts.html

spanky wins this round, fuel filter was messed up and pump was not keeping up, all fixed now.
