100 hour sevice

I'm due for my hour hour service, the dealer wants 5-6 houndred dollers to perform it. I am more than qualified to do this, (ASE master tech) if I do it will it void my warranty.

No, but ask the dealer, not us.

Just keep receipts showing parts/supplies purchased.

What motor do you have and what gets done at the 100 hour service besides changing the lower unit oil? I think I'd find another dealer. That's about what the 300 hour service on my Etec is going to run and it gets everything you can imagine at 300 hours.

100 hours I think is plugs, all fuel filters, lower unit lube, I think impeller, if it is 4 stroke it will also include 4 stroke oil and filter change. Seems like I'm forgetting something. Most dealers run 80-120 an hour on labor. I think it's flat rated at 3 hours and then all your parts. Nothing you can't handle, but you need to keep a record that it was done.

Just ask the dealer what all they do, most won't mind telling you and they will sell yout the parts if you don't buy online.

Annual service includes oil and filter, plugs, fuel filters, some engines have multiples, impeller, lower unit, any kind of ECM diagnostics, and inspection points.
