02' merc 125 water pump ?

I can not get a " [censored]" stream out of my motor with muffs.
But when in the lake it is no problem. Is this normal or do i need to change out my water pump?
It is 2 years old

I would change it to be safe. Put a complete water pump on it.

My problem is backwards from yours , will not pump from lake , but will [censored] with ear muffs on , going to take it in for R/R Water Pump - 200 hp yamaha .

I changed the pump and its peeing like a champ
