I think there was a guy on here a few years ago that had problems with a Rite Hite unit. I believe he sheared a couple of bolts. Probably better choices out there.

We see a lot of the same type of stress failures in industrial flanges and fittings. Cheap steel from China, Korea and some of the eastern block countries. Very porous material with almost "cast" like properties that would never withstand the scrutiny of UT or RT. This looks to be about the same type of deal.

i do believe that gentleman just ordered a rapid jack magnum from me... with a little champion tuck out option for a
bit more lift.

I had a Rapid Jack Magnum on my boat before I went to a Bob's Hydraulic. It was one of the best built pieces of equipment I've ever seen.

Sometimes you want to be nice. This isn't one of those times.
Seriously if you're running one of those junky things understand it's not if it breaks but when it breaks. Take it off now and throw it away or sell it for scrap. Thinking of reselling it? If so you're a lowlife scum. Yes they really are that bad.

Sometimes there is no sugar coating the truth. Hydrodynamics is the way to go for manual and bobs for hydraulic.

I'm glad you found the failure before it got worse and things got wild under power! On the general topic, what do you guys who are in the know think about Atlas hydraulic jackplates? I ask as one came on the Ranger I bought and I'm just curious....
