225 Opti to 250 pro xs powerheads?

My 225 opti blew the #2 piston so i called around and a local shop has a just rebuilt 250 pro xs long block to drop on. Is this a good idea? Really wanting to move to a 250 pro xs and thought this may be a good route. Am i wrong?

A lot of the difference between the 225 and the 250hp is in the fuel and ignition control modules. I would go for it. Getting time to go fishing.
