Yamaha 115hp has hesitation on acceleration.

hey guys my engine had a float stuck on one of the carbs so had them cleaned today.and it idles and runs great but when I get on the throttle hard from a stand still it wants to hesitate before it takes off. anyone had this problem before?

Only time I had that issue years ago, it was my high speed jets.

Sounds to me like the idle air needs adjusted. Year model?

Yes start out by screwing each idle air screw all in then backout 1/2 turn. Run test and if needed back each screw out 1/8th turn at a time until best run test. Yes. Do all adjustment screws each time before testing.

If the air / mixture adjustment doesn't then check the synch.on the throttle linkages and plates.

I cleaned my fuel filter and started the boat and let it run til warm.and it never had any problems with hesitating. one thing i did notice is that the bulb was soft when i checked as i was loading up the boat.

any suggestions?
