Hey guys/gals,
I assume this topic has a dead horse somewhere with bruises all over but a search turned up nothing. I am playing with the idea of upgrading electronics on my Nitro Z8 and my curiosity comes from the size of the current mount from my Lowrance HDS 7 on the instrument cluster. If I end up going with something larger, do I just need to get a sawzall and go to town? I haven't removed the current fish finder yet to look at the install from the factory. Should I even be thinking of doing the install myself or is this something I should have a professional do?
If there are any resources that discuss this anywhere, please share. Maybe my terminology is off and that's why my searches are pulling anything. Thanks in advance!
