Elastic Cord Rod Straps - 11/10/15 08:34 PM
I have a 20-I Skeeter that has the elastic cord rod straps,
they stretch from underneath the deck through the gunnel
and latch on the deck with a hook strap.
I use to buy the spool 1/8" x 50' diameter for 7.25 at the Home Depot, but
they don't carry it anymore.
Any help would be appreciated...!

Mine used to have the rubber " bunji" cord looking things. I replaced my with flush fitting rod buckles. Much better.

Glad you brought this up-I also have a Skeeter and my straps are starting to get loose/sag. Probably going to need to replace soon. Where under the gunnel does it attach? And is it easy to replace? Am I going to have to remove any rod lockers to access?

RKD,
They are attached underneath the rod lockers, there is a hook that you tie the
cord under the lockers, then you run the cord through the gunnel, and attach the
hook to the other end of the cord.
I didn't have to remove the lockers...tight fit!
