Outboard motor weight. - 06/13/15 07:22 PM

Hello; could someone advise me on the weight. Of a short-shaft,manual start.
12hp. 2-stroke? Brand doesn't matter.
Boat is rated for 2-stroke 12. Trying to figure out max weight for Transome(new).
With a 4-stroke.
Thank you.

i've got a 15hp johnson and i'd guess it weighs around 25-30 lbs. maybe a little more, but not much. i carry it around with one arm.

Saw this on another website, but it could help. Mercury 2003 15hp four stroke was 111 lbs. and a 15hp two stroke was 77 lbs.
