Prop Shaft Repair

Prop Shaft Repair - 05/09/15 06:08 AM

I have a 225 Merc with the slightest prop shaft wobble that I'm looking to have straightened. Do any of you know of a shop in the DFW area that can perform this type of repair?

Thanks,

Dustin

Most will not straighten the prop shaft. You could take it yourself to a machine shop to get straightened and just pay a boat mechanic to r&r it. With all new seals of course.

Man don't fool with trying to get it straightened because it will probably be brittle and break off and you loose the money you saved when your prop falls to the bottom of the lake. If you have insurance then it's covered. That's what mine is in the shop (Rockwall Marine) for right now, call John at 972-771-4442. Get it done right the first time you won't regret it.

Extreme Marine in Grand Prairie can do it. Did mine a few years ago R&R and the straightening its worked perfect ever since and I regularly run over 7K rpms.
