2018 SHO backfiring. - 05/25/18 11:08 AM
My 250 SHO on my FX has 4 hrs on it. Ran great yesterday all day . Went to rain across the lake to load it.... as soon as I got on pad it started cutting out and backfiring . I’d let off and she would run fine. But as soon as I stepped into her , same results. Took it to my dealer and they can’t find anything on it . They went thru the boat and the computer . There taking it to the lake next week to run it. Has anyone else heard of this problem ???

Water in fuel. Mine did the same thing once.

I hope that’s the case . I pick it up today. Of course the dealer couldn’t find anything. They ran it at the lake and it didn’t backfire. Hopefully that’s it .

Are all you guys that are having these problems idling around a lot? A SHO was made to run hard and if you are doing a lot of idling and or low rpm running you need to take some long runs at wot. I’ll bet that fixes it.
I read another post on here where the op said his motor would not keep running to get on trailer. Also said he he had idled around 4hours. That is really hard on a SHO.
