SafeFloor in Bass Boat - 02/18/18 07:03 PM

Anyone have the SafeFloor product installed in their Bass Boat?

If so, what are some of the Pro's and Con's?

Safefloor is some bad [censored] stuff.. The only thing I didn't like about my Stratos was the carpet.. That's any bass boat. My new boat doesn't have the carpet and I'm happy!

here's 3 from the 17 ft Ranger that was picked up yesterday . we have many different colors of granuales , you just mix and match the color combination you'd like in your boat , then we mix it in with a patented epoxy and trowel it down to 1/4 inch thick . lifetime warranty , non-slip , pressure wash it off , will not come up unless you have a chisel and sledge in your hand . oh yeh and no hook hang-ups like carpet thumb ..

I do know this...
Once you fish out of a boat with the safe floor, you'll seriously ask why isn't everyone using it?

It really is that much better, but it's hard to explain on the internet.

Thats stuff should be industry standard in bass boats, be interesting to see if it is in the future, carpet is a PITA.

That looks really awesome but how expensive is it?

Re: SafeFloor in Bass Boat - 02/23/18 03:20 AM

Got it in my Wellcraft and has held up for many years. No chipping, thick and worth every cent. If stained due to wear, use Scrubbin Bubbles. Can't go wrong with this in any boat. Heck with carpet......

So wait, I am terrible at math, but if I have a 17 foot boat, say 6 foot wide is roughly 100 SQ feet ( yes I release the bow is triangular, but I told you, I am not good at math... Anyway... 100 times $18, so to cover a boat $1800 bucks? am I understanding that right? If so.. I got a quote for around $900 for carpet for same size boat so this would seem like a steal...

Safe Floor (South) guy quoted me like $2300 (not including carpet removal) to do a 19.5' Nitro.loco

Think I'll pass.

If you’re keeping your boat it’s a lifetime investment.
If not it’s expensive.

How much weight does SafeFloor add per sq ft?
Posted By: fishin1228

Re: SafeFloor in Bass Boat - 03/08/18 05:51 PM

it adds bout 10 oz per sqr ft . its recycled tire chopped up into small granuales , mixed into a epoxy and trowelled down to 1/4 inch thick

Re: SafeFloor in Bass Boat - 03/08/18 07:00 PM

Re: SafeFloor in Bass Boat - 03/08/18 08:33 PM

When did it become doable to do the edges? I was always told that wasn't possible.

Re: SafeFloor in Bass Boat - 03/19/18 10:51 PM

Does it have a little rubberish give to it or is it hard like surface of the boat?
