Which line is best overall for 6'6 medium action rod? - 01/08/16 09:49 PM

Just bought me a silver max combo and I'm in a pickle on which line to use with it. It is my first baitcaster and I will be doing different techniques with it. Can anyone help me out with this?

What are you fishing for? What technique(s) will you be using? What is the rod rated for? What's your fishing skill level?

Largemouth. Its rated 8-15 mono 145 yards. Up to 5/8oz. Cranking and Texas rigging mostly. I have a 6' spinning rod for my drop shotting and swimbaits. Advanced level angler

If you're truly a advance level angler you would already know the answer.

Go with some good quality 30lb braid.

I'd recommend 15 Lb. fluorocarbon for texas rigging. Stren has the best price. 12 lb.for cranking. Use Senko's? fluorocarbon only.
