Easiest baitcast for my daughter to learn

I know this topic is probably discussed to the max. But I will ask again. She is only ten but insists on using a baitcast like her dad. So what is an inexpensive baitcast that she can truly learn with. I will have her set up with better. Probably my old curado and lews. But for now, one that's easy that can get beat up.
I will be ordering her a TFO Rod because they aren't expensive but cheap. Thinking 6'6" MH as she likes spinner baits and frogs. So kind of in between power. So what you got thanks for all the help

I just recently read about the Shakespeare EZ Cast about $40. It's cheap and supposed to be impossible to backlash but doesn't cast very far. That may not be a huge issue with those baits. I haven't used one but was thinking about getting one for my wife to try and son to use in a couple of years. For the cost might be worth a try.

Otherwise anything from Shimano is good even the cheaper stuff or the H20 mettle at academy. BPS Pro Qualifiers are another good budget bait caster that go on sale regularly.

A 6'6" MH rod maybe a little overpowering for a 10yr old, I'm thinking more around a 6'M lighting rod from Berkley with a quantum utlrex reel, with line and all less than a 100 bucks, that way when she throws in the lake it won't hurt too much, trust me I know

I would look into one of Academy's H2O Xpress reels. They are cheap and pretty easy to cast.

I bought my grandson one of these...he is 11, and hasnt had any significant problems using it..so far a pretty good deal for $60 ...you can see the reviews at Academy's web site above..

Thanks. I actually own a few H20's. Just didn't know if they were the easiest to cast. I'm so use to throwining baitcast, I think it would be harder for me to compare which is easiest. If that makes sense. Once she learns, I will get her what she wants. Might try that EZ Cast for starters. The 6' Rod is also a great idea.

Despite "reel brand," I do not know that there is an "easy" baitcaster for a person of any age to learn! It can, and it "will be" a struggle! The level of "give up" factor is paramount. IN65

Both my daughters learned on the same reels I use and I use high priced stuff.

Put slightly smaller line on them. That will assist in casting. Rods should be softer than the ones you normally use. Light weight is better and they don't stress the equipment like you would. They won't cast as hard or pull as hard once they get hooked up.

The Abu blue max is right on! Can't go wrong with a pinnacle combo to!-$

When i first learned to throw bait casters I learned on the old round abu's. If you set the tension knob right they dont back lash much and really help you get the thumb control down in my opinion.

I learned on a ABU Garcia 5000, and I can't remember how hard it was. I think anybody could cast my Curado when it's set up a little tight. Two years ago my son was 10 and little did I know he grabbed one of our Abu 6500's and went to town practicing at the house. We went fishing a few weeks later when I got back from work, and casted that thing like a boss. He was a little heavy on the thumb, but decent. Any of them would work, it will just take practice.
