Pflueger patriarch lp casting problem

Hey guys I have a pflueger patriarch lp that won't cast more then twenty or thirty feet no matter what I am throwing. I have tried every setting on the adjustment knob and every number on the brakes. I even sent it to pflueger to get it serviced thinking that would fix the problem but it didn't. Reel is basically new and smooth as can be, just won't cast. It's wierd it will cast fine out to like twenty feet then kinda just die. Like when you have the side adjustment knob all the way tightend down but it is not. You can't even backlash it if you try to. Any ideas guys?

The spool is binding somewhere...probably the drag from what you are saying. Remove all the line and free spin the spool. Should go for 30 seconds or so. You sent it to Pfluger and they can't fix it? Did you talk to someone and explain your problem? Being new, they or your reatiler should repair or replace.

I had the same issue when I bought mine. Take the side plate off and turn off all of the centrifical brakes.
