At 7.6 ounces, no chance. Im not buying another reel over 5.5 the rest of my life.

I have one in the 6.2 ratio, and yes it shows to be heavier than most reels... but I put it on a Denali rosewood 7’ custom work and jig rod, and it doesn’t feel any heavier in the hand than my metanium mgl on a Dobyns fury. Feels very solid, very well built and tested the drag last week on Rayburn flipping weightless Senkos in buck brush. Drag never slipped at lockdown, but was smooth when I backed off of it to test it. Didn’t feel overly greased like most new reels do out of the box, casts extremely well, and fits better in my hands than my Curado 50 series reels did. I like it just as much as my metaniums and aldebaran 50 as far as performance. I would definitely buy another one if I had a need for one, try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Yeah Turtdogg, I got this from a JDM dealer early on. The reel fits so well the extra 2 oz. is nothing. I wish all my reels had the solid smooth feel as this one. I also have Metainiums and Chronarch MGL's. This reel bumped a Steez off of one of my G-Rods.
