updating gps puck and unit software (lowrance)

On my used boat, it has a LMS 332c graph. It also has an external lgc 2000. So just to be clear, with an sd card, I can update the GPS unit with a file on sd card, and also the graph?

Just want to make sure this is two separate things. And I will do the gps puck first right?
