My 898c turns off everytime I try to attach an ethernet cable to 999c? What am I doing wrong. I have power to the unit and it works fine without the ethernet cable.

Can you hook it up and then turn it on? Try hooking up network cable before turning units on

I have it comes on then a few seconds later shuts down.

there was a certain software release that allowed the older core units to network, I believe it is around the 6.6 update or there about.
