On board battery charger unit - 06/29/16 08:51 PM

I have a Nitro Z7 with a XPS onboard marine battery charger. When I plug in for my 2 trolling batteries, the red light stays on. I have left plugged in for several hours but still in the red. I took the batteries and had them tested and was told they are fine. Anyway of testing the battery charger to see if working properly??

Look up the instructions in the manual and see what it says. The charger might need to go to a service center for evaluation.

Mine sometimes stays on for many hours before turning green, you can check the voltage at each battery with it hooked up and turned on, it should be more than when the battery is disconnected from it for a while, usually 13.5 - 14.5 volts....

Did you check all fuses? A blown fuse will cause the red light.
