Humminbird 1198 depth read

I am running Hbird 1198. Using y cable with SI ducer and 2d ducer. Recently started loosing depth sitting and 2d functions still or moving. Borrowed another unit and does the same. Changed 2d ducer with no results. SI all seems to be working fine. Just the 2d is not working. Could the Y cable be bad?

yes, run the si/di ducer straight to the 1198 and see if that fixes it if that fixes it then you have a bad y cable, or you can run the 2d ducer to the back of the unit will not get si/di but this is for test purpose
