HDS 7 Gen 1 head swap

I recently bought a new kayak and was wondering if it's possible to buy an extra set of the cables and transducer and mount them on the kayak and use the same head unit for both my boat and kayak?

Sure that will work. Depending on how you have it mounted you may also want to consider geting an an additional Gimbal bracket or Ram mount base to make moving it easier.
