Elite 7HDI problems.

My unit has been freezing up on occasion and now I'm having issues with the auto depth ranging/zoom changing settings and my routes just disappear sometimes. My unit is a year old and I have checked all connections and settings. As far as I know there has been no damage or impact. Just curious if anyone else has had similar issues and what the fix might have been? I would like to avoid sending it back to Lowrance but if that's the solution then I suppose we're heading into the off season and I could live without it for a few weeks.

Try a soft reset. Turn the unit off. Press the zoom in and zoom out keys at the same time and hold. Press and release the power button. When the USA map appears, release the zoom buttons. This will not erase your waypoints,etc.

My unit just will not work with the trails and Navionics at the same time. The processor is just too slow. I like the trails, but the Navionics is a great tool so I turn the trails off. The software update helped some. Just learn to live with it.

You can fix that by having less map data.
Get the Navionics+ or Navionics Update card and only load the waters you fish. The less data the unit has to process, the faster it will function.

Also verify boat battery voltage above 12V DC.
