My 999 showed up today. I was going to put it on the front of the boat, but decided to move the 1199 up front since it's gointo be linked with the Minn Kota TM. Looked at the Pelican case that I use to hold the 1199 display and it looked deep enough to hold the second FF. I pulled the foam out so the new one would fit in the bottom and it left a "ledge" for the big one to ride on. Seperated them with a towel just to prevent any scratching of the covers and they both fit like a glove.
The TM is being upgraded to a 24V MK Riptide so I have to redo my battery system for 24V. Also ordered a MK charger that will charge all of the batteries when the motor is running. I was doing that with a Blue Sea ACR, but it won't work charging a 12V and a 24V bank. The MK charger will.
So now I have more stuff to list in the trading post to go with the Maxxum trolling moor, Maxxum quick release mount which also works on some other motors and the Blue Sea ACR.
I'm building a custom mount for the forward FF and I'll post photos when it's finished. It will mount in an adjustable chair mount so anyone can have it at whatever height works best.
