Helix 7 gjmbal bracket broke ? This was crazy

This happened while at the lake sat while fishing a crappie tournament. We stopped at a brush pile dropped the trolling motor and a few minutes later the graph just fell on the deck. ...does anyone know of a metal bracket made for the 7s?

That is scary, would hate to lose a head unit by it falling in the water.. would just hope the cable is strong enough to stay in the unit

No joke!!.... humminbird is going to replace it with a metal one...at first they said no...but i guess they dont need that kind of publicity.
