Lowrance Hook 5 brightness adjustment

Ran my Hook for the first time this weekend. Cloudy day and could not read screen. Right around sunrise it was OK. After sunrise it was terrible. I know how to adjust the screen brightness on my HDS' but could not find anything on the menu for the Hook. Unit is unusable in current state.i did not try increasing the contrast. I meant to test in yard before covering boat.

If it’s like my hook 7 the brightness control shows on the menu that first pops up when you power it up.

"Tap" the power button once. This will bring up a menu with your brightness setting. Scroll to brightness and adjust to your liking.

thanks, so it works the same as my HDS. HDS manual has it in it but did not see in my Hook manual.
