Upgrading Electronics

Upgrading Electronics - 12/30/17 03:25 PM

I'm thinking about upgrading from an 1198 and 998 to the Helix GSN2 SI 9 and 10. My units are linked with the 5 Port Ethernet Box, I also have the TM 360 linked also. My question is can I use the wiring and cables from the 1198 and 998 and get an adaptor cable or do I need to run the wiring and cables that come with the newer units? I know that the transducers are different. David with Shut Up & Fish, if you can PM some prices please.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

The Helix units are like the XX9 models and don't have a threaded Ethernet port like your units do.
Ethernet is part of the cable collector for quick disconnect.

The power cord is the same.

Yes the transducers are different, the G2N SI units are MEGA units with the extra Imaging frequency and a Down Imaging crystal in the SI transducer.

You would need an AS EC QDE Ethernet adapter for each unit to connect the Ethernet cable to them.

If you have the original 5 port Ethernet switch AS ETH 5PS, you would have to get the current one AS ETH 5PXG.
