Re: Squaw creek open Oct 29th - 10/25/17 03:27 PM
100 percent side pot, 90 percent stringer,,,,
I don't think any tournament I have ever ran has has a bad payout,, sometimes I goof and end up paying more than I collect...
???????? Just wondering...

You never have a bad payout.
I just like knowing if and what percentage is taken from the stringer payout and where it goes?

4th 200
5th 150
6th 100
Bb 1st 190

Here was the payout for anyone who questioned our payback..
It actually cost me money to host and work for everyone's fun and desire to fish a low entry and good payout tourney..
I really appreciate everyone who showed up,,, gonna try and do a tournament bracket style format , 100 percent payback, and maybe a mlf deal if I can get some help

LOL I REALLY appreciate it Jimmy.
Only reason I ask what % pay out is, is because last year there was an incident where the money for first place was short and the tournament was labeled an open. come to find out there was a percentage taken out for a club.
I'm all for a club making money!
but at least advertise it so people will know and not be surprised when they do the math.

Time is money. If Jimmy takes the time go put together a tournament I don't mind him getting a little kick to help pay for his fee's . I just don't see a whole lot of people lining up to run tournaments.

A lot of anglers don't realize the time and effort to put one on, until they do a few themselves.

I've run a few and know what it takes. but not very many people were fans of my pay out LOL. I like a winner take all or only paying 1st-3rd.
Now days there are some that want a "participation check" for just showing up.
I appreciate what you do every year Jimmy and look forward to fishing against you the regulars once we get done with this outage here at my Plant.

LOL, not trying to be one.
I heard 17 won it with a bunch of 16-15 pound bags.
The lake should be nice and ripe by the time I'm able to show up mid November. Hopefully I can talk my partner into putting down the bowling ball and come out of retirement.

My partner is worthless also so I will have to handle this myself till Borden wakes up from his nap. The problem with winner take all is the guilt I will feel when you leave with nothing
