There will be a limited amount of wounded soldiers who would like to participate in this event and needing a boater to volunteer. If you'd like to take a soldier please let us know by Sept 1st so we have time to pair as many boaters to soldiers as we can.

There will be a media precense for this tournament and the Hookset Brothers "'Fishing For PTSD Recovery " wrapped boats by Tyler Wrap Company will be used as media boats for on the water coverage.

Operation Comfort was there during my time of need while I recovered in the hospital from wounds sustained from Iraq they are truly an organization that helps and supports our men and woman in the armed forces who have sacrificed so much.

With lake Palestine being the minefield that it is, will trailering be allowed?

With having a military presence at the tournament and Operation Comfort being a organization that supports our wounded soldiers and the Hookset Brothers back ground of being military we want to Honor our Men and Women of this great nation with a National Anthem followed by flighted starts.

Lake Palestine is very accessible if you follow the warnings on your fishing graph or any map purchased of lake the areas of trees are very well marked on the maps and graphs but lake is overall very accessible and is quite the pleasure lake during summer months with skiers. I do understand the dangers of the lake when going North as i here live on Lake Palestine but also many anglers know how to run at least to the power lines than its idle and bump city.... You are more than welcome to launch anywhere from lake but flighted starts will be from Lake Palestine Resort and weigh in at same location. There are many tournaments ran on Lake Palestine that do flighted starts and felt doing a National Anthem for reasoning stated above and flighted starts would add to the tournaments overall success and atmosphere.

We are very excited for this event and hope you participate. We plan for it to be one to remember and an annual event.

15.54lbs by Kenny Strwart and Active a Duty Soldier Bryan Grondahl took home the GUARANTEED $2500 check.

We had 33 boats 20 veterans in all with 5 wounded soldiers coming from Operation Comfort and gave out over $5500 in prizes and door prizes out.
